If using the Boma theme, try adding the following to the '_themes/boma/css/custom.css' file:

p,ul,ol,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6 {
    max-width: 540px;
}

... changing the 'max-width' value as appropriate (although this will affect more than just the 'About' page).

If using the Kosel theme, try adding the following to the '_themes/kosel/css/custom.css' file:

div.profile {
    max-width: 560px;
}

... changing the 'max-width' value as appropriate.

Rather than extract the 'showkase-pro.zip' file to your hard drive and upload the unzipped archive to your web server, try uploading the zip file directly to your web server. Then login to your hosting account's CPanel (through a browser interface) and try unzipping the file on your web server using the 'Extract' functionality of your CPanel's file manager.

Go to 'Site -> Customize Theme' and enter a negative value for the 'External fit px' text field in the 'Gallery and image fitting' section (such as '-200'). Then click 'Update' and 'Publish'. Your gallery's height should reduce by the number of pixels specified.

Showkase does not feature a contact form but if you find suitable code that you would like to embed in a Showkase page, you can add HTML code to the text editor in 'Source' input mode.

If you want to embed a Juicebox gallery in an 'About' page, then you would need to create a Juicebox gallery using JuiceboxBuilder and following the baseUrl Juicebox embedding instructions here (entering the embedding code into the text editor on the 'About' page in 'Source' input mode).

It sounds very much like an unstable server.
Check with your web host to see if they have been having problems recently with the server on which your Showkase installation is hosted.

The galleries not showing up anymore on the site and coming back few hours later

Please post the URL to your Showkase site and let me know which galleries might or might not be showing so that I can take a look.

@karhu

You might be able to configure a Juicebox-Pro gallery to replicate the layout and functionality you are looking for with configuration options such as:

imageTransitionType="SLIDE"
imageScaleMode="FILL"
showSmallThumbs="FALSE"
showLargeThumbs="FALSE"
buttonBarPosition="NONE"
showImageOverlay="NEVER"
enableKeyboardControls="TRUE"
enableLooping="TRUE"

For reference, a list of all Juicebox-Pro configuration options can be found here.

This looks to be due to the height of your logo pushing the gallery down the page.
You can compensate for this by going to 'Site -> Customize Theme' and entering a negative value (e.g. '-75') in the 'External fit px' text field in the 'Gallery And Image Fitting' section.
This feature was introduced in Showkase v1.0.2 so if using a version prior to v1.0.2, you will need to upgrade Showkase by following the instructions here.

At the moment the mailing lists for Juicebox and Showkase are one and the same.
If you sign up for the mailing list, you should be notified of updates for both Juicebox and Showkase (even though the mailing list is currently entitled 'Juicebox Mailing List').

It sounds like your web host may not allow you to upload files and folders which begin with characters such as . (such as the .htaccess file) and _ (such as the _themes folder).
Please check with your web host to determine what files you can and cannot upload to your web space.
Also, check the permissions on your 'photographies' folder and try running the Showkase Server Compatibility Test on your server to check that it has all the features Showkase needs.

Showkase requires PHP v5.2.0 or later. There are no features of Showkase that are available to PHP v5.4.0 users which are not available to PHP v5.2.0 users so you should see no difference at all (either in the admin back-end or in your published site).
As with all software upgrades, PHP v5.4.0 should fix bugs which are present in previous versions so there is usually a strong case to upgrade.
However, if things are running stable on your web server at the moment and you have no PHP-related problems, you may like to stick with PHP v5.2.0.

No. Showkase does not feature the ability to resize images which have already been uploaded.
A possible solution might be to delete the existing images and re-upload your original images with new resize dimensions.

You could hardcode the required linkURL and linkTarget values into the 'showkase\admin\plugins\juicebox\juiceboximage.inc.php' file by changing lines 55 and 56 to something like the following (depending on the name of your JavaScript function):

$rootElement->setAttribute('linkURL', 'javascript: func();');
$rootElement->setAttribute('linkTarget', '_self');

Unfortunately, there is no set date for the release of the next version.
Any estimate I give you could turn out to be wholly inaccurate and give you false expectations. All I can say is that it will be released when it is ready and that should hopefully be sooner rather than later. I hope you understand.

If none of your custom CSS seems to be taking effect in Firefox, try clearing your browser's cache before reloading your web page to ensure that Firefox is using the most recent versions of all your files.

You could edit the generated HTML pages themselves to include a separator between the links. Such modifications would be lost if updating the pages via Showkase but if you do not have too many pages and do not plan to update existing pages too often, this may be a suitable workaround.

As a Showkase Pro Bundle user, I have requested that you be sent a link to download Juicebox-Pro (which includes the installation file for JuiceboxBuilder-Pro).
The link should be sent to you soon.

The font appears to render correctly in the body of the page (http://174.122.127.226/~petraluz/DE/uuraaleet//) but not in the nav area. See the last button on the nav.

In the UÜRÄALEËT link, the Ü and Ä characters seem to be rendered correctly but the Ë is not.
This looks like all your own code is correct (otherwise the Ü and Ä characters would be rendered incorrectly also) but there may be a deficiency in the font itself. (This is just an observation. I am not laying blame with the font itself as I do not know the reason for the problem.) Does the Ë character render correctly if used in the body of the page?

Also, on Windows machines in IE 7 and 9, even after installing the Intnl French version of the font, the French accents are not rendering properly: http://174.122.127.226/~petraluz/FR/

I have viewed your web page in IE9 on my Windows PC and the French accents are rendered correctly in IE9 (but not in IE7 or IE8 Browser Mode).
This forum thread seems to describe your scenario but it looks like you already implement the solution that is offered.
Unfortunately, I do not have a suitable workaround just now but I will ensure that the developers are aware of your post above.

Showkase does not feature Lightbox-style functionality (and neither does Juicebox or SimpleViewer).

It is possible to open an image within a Juicebox gallery in a Lightbox-style pop-up window (please see this forum post for details) but you would need to create and upload this gallery manually (outside Showkase) and then embed it in a Showkase page.

Ok, so randomizeImages makes obsolete the direct link function.
If a visitor want to share with a friend a picture and i have configure the juicybox to randomize mode it will never be the pictures the visitor wants to share in the link ...

That is correct. If you want to be able to link directly to a specific image in your gallery, please do not set randomizeImages="TRUE".

Maybe you will implement in a future version adding tags to the url instead of having mywebsite.com/#1 you will have mywebsite.com/#1-my-best-picture where "my best picture" is words of the picture title. Interesting for link sharing and search engines.

An option i would also like to have is to put my last upload pics at the top of my gallery, i know i can change order but when i upload multipe files it's boring to order them all :)

Thank you for posting these suggestions in the Feature Requests thread where they will not be overlooked.

Can i change the theme or album or whatever so that they will fit automatically to the size of the browser?

So that it's not possible to scroll up / down when viewing the album?

No. Showkase was not designed to fit a browser window and resize dynamically like an individual Juicebox or SimpleViewer gallery does.

Your scrolling problem may be because your heading is taking up two lines and pushing the gallery down.
A gallery height adjustment is planned for the next Showkase release.

Is it possible that Showkase doesn't like any special charakters in the password? Or is it with 50 charakters too long?

Showkase should be able to handle non-alphanumeric characters (but perhaps not control characters or extended characters such as accented letters).
I do not know what the maximum number of characters that Showkase can handle in a password but try a password with fewer than 50 characters to see if this helps.

i've just buy the pro version of juicybox and i saw that when i activate the randomize option, url link doesnt refer to the good picture. May i do something wrong ?

When setting randomizeImages="TRUE", the images are ordered randomly when the gallery is initially displayed and the direct linking image numbers refer to the new order of the images reflecting the order of the thumbnails displayed in the gallery.

Is it possible to add tags in the url ? I only have #<number>.

Juicebox-Pro supports only the #<number> format for linking directly to individual images within a gallery when setting enableDirectLinks="TRUE".

Another question when i upload picture they always go to the bottom. But i would like to know if is it possible that the picture i upload go to the top of the library picture. To be seen first.

You can change the order of images in a gallery by dragging and dropping the thumbnails on the 'Images' tab.
