Any idea why when the jpg file loads on my main page there's a grey box that flashes before it loads?

It's a ListViewer page and I've searched everywhere for a grey color that might be responsible.

I'd like to see an option that galleries could go to expanded view on small screens without having to have the splash screen show first.

The dotted line is gone! Thanks.

Thanks Steve. The css worked great.

One other thing I've found with this theme is that on the contact page any link I put in the body copy has a dotted underline.
I've never seen this before using Kosel and it's the same exact copy.

I've tried :

a {outline: 0;}

and

a { text-decoration: none; }

But nothing seems to work.

I notice on the Maribo demo site, the Maribo Photo header font is larger than what the default is when using the actual theme.
I can make the header larger for my site in css but then in the mobile version it gets cut off due to the size.
Is there any way in css to make the font larger for larger screens then have it scaled to smaller ones to fit the layout?

OK, the System-Repairs seems to have worked. I'll keep an eye out to see if that is the case and the situation doesn't reappear.

Thanks!

I've run into this issue ever since I started using Showkase and can't figure out why it happens.
I will look at my site/server in an ftp program and find multiple versions of a folder called "Gallery". Just today there were 54 folders! All of the folders have the setup of folders/files a normal Showkase folder has when published albeit without any images.
I can delete all the folders but when I just did that and re-published the site, about 50 or so new 'Gallery" folders were created

Why does this happen?

Also I've noticed under Hidden pages there are multiple copies folders in the Showkase UI of folders that don't exist any more, and none of those duplicates are visible on the server via ftp.

*Just published my site again after making some changes and found 93 folders called "Gallery" had been made.

*Cleared out anything that says Gallery, published again and I now have 17 folders called Galleries and 98 that say Gallery

I've created a new folder on my domain and setup a new instance of Showkase. It's all working etc. but is there a way to duplicate all the various settings I've created in my main use of Showkase to this new one? Going through all the various prefs would be incredibly painful!

What files would I need to copy?

Also, I've copied over my custom versions of Jukebox into admin and _viewers in the new folder. But overtime I publish, Jukebox reverts to the non-pro version and throws out my customization. What can I do about this?

*OK, I figured out the Jukebox issue. (Seems like after I post an issue I eventually figure  out my problem!)

*OK, I think the Showkase question was answered as well!

Great. Thanks Steven.

I see where to use a password, but where do I enter the password to use?
And when a page is protected I see this:
http://goo.gl/tMfy7C
Where can I change the email address seen there?

*OK, found this info on the Juicebox Support page.

That was it! Thanks Steven.

There's a gradation that is appearing now underneath my images and above my caption in the mobile/small view. Normally the caption is a delineated box separate from the background black and all of a sudden the backgorund is bleeding into the caption (or visa versa). This is after Showkase and Juicebox updates. Did something change in one of them to cause this?

Before http://goo.gl/7x9tI9

Now http://goo.gl/vx0dsS

*The before site has not been updated to the latest Showcase and Juicebox so something is different.

Can I access the new Juicebox 1.5 features (password protection, email button etc.) via the Showcase interface? I went to Customize Viewers after upgrading my site to use 1.5 but couldn't find those features.

Where in Showkase can I turn this off? I played with CaptionBackTopColor but it didn't do anything. Why does the bar display by default?

The only way I could figure out how to turn it off was in CSS:

div.jb-caption.jb-classifier-layer {
background-image: none !important;
Background-color: rgba(246, 246, 246, 0.7) !important;
}

I had to take out the gradation, but still have color for the captions in Expanded Gallery.

Is there an easier place to turn the gradation off using Showkase? If others run into this is might be easier than the CSS.

Also, since I updated Juicebox I have to go into the theme and re-enter my custom icons. But the caption font and number size also need to be replaced. It seems like I have to change the theme in both the admin/plugins/juicebox folder and the _viewers/juicebox folder. I thought admin was the key folder to change.

*OK, scratch that. I had too many things I changed in the theme.css file so I replaced the new one with the old one. Way too frustrating.

Ah OK. I thought I might be able to do the bottom only by doing something like 0,0,20,0.

I currently have my images centered in the Juicebox window. I wanted to add a little padding at the bottom of the images using Image Padding under Customize Viewers to bump them up a bit. But no number I enter seems to affect the image placement. Is this the right place to do this?

First off, thanks for the update! The new them looks interesting and I want to start customizing it.

One thing I find is that the Juicebox changes I made in Kosel don't seem to transfer when I change themes. What file(s) should I copy over to the Maribo theme to get the same Juicebox look?

Yes, the splash page/expanded view is a better option to me as well.

The big advantage of using the splash page on the phone is that the images then are shown in Expanded view by default. Which is really nice. So I guess it's tradeoff vs. being able to copy the links correctly.

I have my site setup with the Enable Direct Links checked. On my iPhone I can see the numbers for each page in a gallery in the URL. But every time I copy and paste a link, the result is the browser gets directed to the first page of the gallery, not to the image with the URL/number I pasted. I wanted to send a page to client and this was the result.

Is this how it supposed to work on mobile? Doing this in a desktop browser results in the direct going to the numbered page.

I haven't been importing a page or gallery.
I just went to the dashboard for my site and selected a gallery page that's been duplicating. I went to the Customize tab and hit Update, then Publish (without changing anything). I refreshed the server and found 4 copies of that folder. The folders have everything that the original has, but does not duplicate the images. Doing this ALSO made 2 additional copies of my Contacts page! And I never opened it. Very weird.

Update: I think I figured it out. I had some pages that weren't being publish but were still in my dashboard. I removed these and the problem seems to have gone away. There must have been something in the pages that was causing this.

I think!

I'm finding that certain Showkase folders are being duplicated on my server and I can't figure out why. Some get up to 18 additional copies! Any idea why this would happen? One folder is a Juicebox gallery page and the other is my Contact page. Although in the past this has happened with other folders as well. I've noticed this since I started using Showkase.

Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted!. Your help is always quick and spot-on. It's really appreciated.

Is there any way (maybe CSS?) that I can have the footer type on a Gallery Index page be all the way at the bottom of the page? Right now it hugs up against the thumbnails.

It would be nice to have the option when uploading images to overwrite/replace existing images already uploaded.
Images that already exist are now uploaded and appended by default. If I'm replacing a large number of images that means I have to go through and re-sort the new ones and delete the existing.
Do that with a 100 or so images and a "replace existing" option would some in handy!

Thanks! I think I have things where I want them now.
One little thing is now that the small version is always showing images in Expanded mode I wish the navigation would disappear on touch like the Overlay (Auto setting). I don't want to assign Hover since that would mean on the desktop they wouldn't always be there.
Maybe a feature request for an Auto setting for the navigation?
