Okay, thanks I will give it a go! Can I just replace the "admin" folder with this new one?

Also, will the log-in and the pages maintain their current settings? Been a long time since I did this originally and don't remember.

I have tried a couple times over the last few days and can't seem to make it work. I am entering my web address/admin/settings/ckeditorconfig.js as the url, hit Ctrl+F5 and it does show the added

config.iframe_attributes = {
    sandbox: 'allow-scripts allow-same-origin'
}

as being present. However, the videos do not show. When I go back to Showkase, remove the sandbox references and re-publish, it does show correctly. Currently, the videos are showing after I did this. Is there something else I am missing possibly?

I tried adding that but without success so went back to the original unofficial patch. Please see these last few lines and let me know if I had placed it correctly.

  ];
config.iframe_attributes = {
    sandbox: 'allow-scripts allow-same-origin'
}
};

Yeah, I've found it is happening after every save of that page.

I'm using your unofficial update patch. Don't think that would make a difference (and I'm guessing you're running it also), but thought it's worth mentioning.

The good thing is it's up and running now after you caught the "sand box" in the code. Thank you!

Thanks, I appreciate the quick reply!

It was while I was making a transition over to using Vimeo from YouTube that this started. I followed your advice to remove the sandbox="" attribute and it is once again working (both with Vimeo and YouTube).

One strange thing though, each time I save the page in Showkase it automatically adds the sandbox attribute on its own.

I made one change to an existing Basic Page, saved and uploaded and now I am getting errors in any browser I view it in. Even when I go back to the previous source code that was on the page, errors still show. Please view https://djphoto.com/video/ to view what I am referring to and let me know if you have a suggestion how to get this working again. Thank you!

Thanks Steven- problem solved!

I used a FTP client to get the files uploaded. Then using Chrome to access Showkase, I attempted to upload .webp files and kept getting the error message. Finally I tried using a different browser (FireFox) to access Showkase and upload the .webp files. This worked! Not sure why I was having the problem with Chrome, which is what I always use to access and update the Showkase gallery, but in the end, it works and I'm good with that.

Thanks and I appreciate your help, again :) !

So I tried this and thought I did it correctly, but when I attempt to upload an image with a .webp extension, I get an invalid file type message. Please let me know where I may have gone wrong.

Thanks!

Steven, following your suggestion, I would like to apply the patch mentioned above. However, looking at the folder currently being used, there are a number of other files within it compared to the "patch Showkase" folder. Perhaps I'm in the incorrect place or doing something else incorrectly. Please explain with a little more detail. Thank you!

I haven't tried the patch, but thinking of doing it and I am using a Juicebox-Pro Gallery. Currently I have Large, Medium and Small boxes checked and prior to uploading I size images to a 2048px width. If I have only the Medium checked, what is this going to do with the images dynamic sizing on different devices/resolutions? Will I be sacrificing anything?

Thanks,

I'd like to see .WEBP files be compatible with ShowKase. It helps reduce file size significantly and therefore load times, which is great. Browser compatibility is also good, so it would make sense to see if as an added file type accepted.

Can Showkase handle a .webp format?

Hmm, I am definitely logged into the forum but not seeing the email address.

I tried inserting the few lines of Google's code and it triggered off many errors from Showkase. I then started over and tried inserting the second way you mentioned, but still get many, many errors. Does not seem like Showkase is liking this.

Any possibility of emailing the errors for you to see or giving you access to the website?

Actually just read your reply again and I believe you already answered that it will work for both.

Thanks, appreciate your help!

Okay, that is super helpful! Google also has some code they want in the footer section.  Is the "footer" section also available in the same file?

I'm back with a follow-up question. Google has provided me with some code to be placed into the Header and Footer sections for tracking. Fyi, I know Showkase has a spot for a Google Analytics ID, but they tell me what they are providing is different. So my question is if I paste some of their custom code into the Header and Footer, will I lose it every time I update my site, such as with new pictures?

Please help me with this response.

Would love to have the ability to add videos to gallery pages.

Also, would like the ability show larger images in a gallery without having to open in a new tab or having the images downloaded.

Thanks, I'll give it a try!

Ah, okay I see that it was working as designed and I was thrown off because I didn't see larger images displayed on a desktop monitor.

Moving forward, I do not want the images downloadable and would rather have them seen larger without having the visitor opening new tabs as they go through the gallery(s). I am guessing if I increase the image dimensions for the medium size files this may accomplish this, however probably with the downside of mobile device users (particularly cell phone users not using wi-fi) then being served files that are larger than necessary and impacting their download speeds.

Is there a simple workaround to accomplish what I am trying to do?

Thanks, I'm trying this now and must be doing something incorrect, just not sure what.

I took larger dimension jpeg images (ranging from approx 3000-4000px), went to the UPLOAD tab and the images all got reduced in size after they uploaded. None of them came in larger than 1024px wide or 768px high, even though I have the max height and width boxes populated with 2048 x 1536. I tried doing this with the RESIZE IMAGES box checked, as well as trying with it unchecked.

In the customize viewer page, The multi-size images box is checked and the largest size is showing 2048x1536.

Fyi, the monitor they are being viewed on is a 2560x1440 display so I would think the 2048px dimension would be what Showkase is serving up.

Please let me know where I should be looking to figure out what I am missing.

Thank you!

The FAQ's say that optimized sized images for the Kosel gallery are 1024px x 768px. As resolutions for monitors continue to increase, I would like to show the portfolio images at a larger dimension, while still having it "auto" maintain a responsive size in relationship to the screen size. Other than a slower download speed, will I run into other potential problems if I increase the image dimensions to a larger size (on either monitors, tablets or phones)?
