3. I have the nav buttons set to "stage" in the theme settings, but they still land on the main image, as does the screen mode button.  I prefer no buttons of any kind touching the photos.  What can I do?

To prevent icons touching the images, try setting Juicebox-Pro 'imagePadding' config option to something like 50. You can also play with 'imageNavPadding' and 'buttonBarPosition' options.

We will be adding more config options to the ListViewer in a future version.

Take my example: andibrunner.com All I want is to have the possibility to place the picture (in this case I used the ListViewer gallery) in the middle.

You can make you image have 1024 px width to fit perfectly.

Dont buy it if you need a built-in shopping cart. Like I said there is no firm date on when this would happen.

plans or possibility of integrating a shopping cart solution

This is on our roadmap for a future version, but there is no date scheduled.

On the gallery index page it will be nice to select a different picture number for every gallery.

Do you mean the ability to select a different image than the first to be the thumbnail in the gallery index page? If so, this is in our queue for a future version.

First image index customizable at gallery level

You can drag and drop images to change the image order. Does this do what you need?

I found myself strongly wishing there was some kind of 'preview' publish, rather than full publish.

Theres a couple of different ways to approach this: A) Hide individual pages while you work on them. Use the page Customize ->  'Show in Nav' and 'Show in Index Pages' options to hide a page. B) Set up a dev version of your site. One copy of Showkase can manage 2 sites on the same server. We've added some information to the user guide here: http://showkase.net/support/guide/#multiple-sites

I'd like to be able to swap gallery titles and perhaps other menu texts for graphics . Anti-aliased text looks so much nicer than aliasing text,

We don't support this option. When you say the text looks aliased, what browser and OS are you viewing on? Your site menu text looks smooth here on Mac OS X / Chrome.

I'd like to see more customization options for the gallery index page.

We may add this a future version.

I'd like to be able to change the colour of individual letter text within a body of text in the 'About' page.

We will add this in the next release.

some kind of backup, revert or undo could be very valuable.

We've added some more information about backing up to the user guide: http://showkase.net/support/guide/#backup

I just don't have thumbbail dots as I used to have with my old site here

Make sure 'showLargeThumbs' is set to true.

I really want to be able to do is push the image lower down the page to accommodate the full size, but not scale it down

Not sure what you mean by 'push the image lower down the page'?

Like for example being able to change the size of the gallery preview windows, or change the order in which the actual galleries are listed top right.

To change the order of pages in the top menu and the gallery index page, use the 'Nav Order' field in each page's 'Customize' tab. Higher numbers come later than lower numbers. Gallery Index thumbnail size is not configurable. The thumbnails resize to best fill the available area.

To avoid the logo image being resized, we recommend using a logo image with width of 256 pixels or less.

1. Is there any way to input hex code characters instead of using the colour picker?

Yes. Type the hex value into the text input box.

2.a. I'm using a graphic for my name/title here because I want the anti-aliased text

Showkase top nav text looks anti-aliased here. What OS/browser are you viewing your site on? You can also try selecting a different menu font in Site -> Customize Theme.

2.b Is there support to use graphics instead of text for other menu items beyond that one?

No - Showkase menus use text, not graphics.

There seems to be a lot on the showcase customize juicebox page that says 'pro' in brackets. I purchased juicebox a while back, but bought Showkase today to get a more integrated feeling result.

The Juicebox Viewer options that are marked as 'Pro' require Juicebox-Pro to use. If you have already purchased Juicebox-Pro, upgrade your copy of Showkase Standard to use Juicebox-Pro by following these steps.

couple of redundant folders that are empty but Core FTP cant/wont delete because it says they're not empty.

try deleting the contes of those folders first , then deleting the folder.
