Thanks Steven for your comprehensive answer. I took the Simpleviewer Pro route.
The Simpleviewer one looks great on a desktop screen but disappointing on a mobile device (e.g.iPhone 6) where, also, the watermarks are not shown at all. At least we have a choice of solutions though.

Would it be possible to select a watermark file from the Library rather than supply a path?

Would you be kind enough to spell out exactly the properties of the watermark file I should use in Showkase with a Juicebox Pro viewer? And is an absolute path necessary. A path to what? Where? What size? Which image file format? What colour mask?
I took a punt but the watermark .PNG that I was using previously with Fireworks - semi opaque white on transparent background - has no effect in Showkase's use of Jukebox Pro viewer. I gave it a relative path to a PNG in my Showkase Library.
I searched the user guide. I may have missed something.
