Showkase favicon issue

I previously had implemented this website using Showkase, but since have built it from scratch using HTML and CSS. I believe all of the old files for the site have been removed.

However, on all of the pages of this site, the Showkase favicon shows up and that does not seem to be a great idea. I have tried to remove it using all of the techniques I could glean from searches on the web, but it still persists. It also shows up on other computers unassociated with me, so it is not my computer, probably not the browser, but how to get rid of it?

This site does have some pages using image galleries produced using Juicebox builder pro. And on another site, I have used Showkase so the folder is in the file system in the host at cabrackett.com.

Your thoughts please.

Error when creating Juicebox Page

Hello.
I receive the following error when I am trying to add new Juicebox Page:

Exception in file /home/lupast1k/public_html/showkase/admin/classes/thumbnail.php, line 94
Message: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromgif()

When I access the thumbnail.php via cPanel, line 94 does not look any different than all the other lines:

$imageSrc = imagecreatefromgif($filePath)

I get the same error in Safari and Chrome. Do you know what could be an issue here, please?

Outdated PHP version

Hello, I purchased Showkase Pro Bundle for $95 dollars on 01/14/2016. In 2021 I received a free upgrade to Version 1.7.6 [25 March 2021], which is compatible with PHP 8.
Currently PHP is 8.4, making PHP 8 outdated. According to your website, this is the most updated version. When I purchased the bundle, you promised to provide free upgrades within the same major version up to v1.9. As of today, you are still promising the same support.
When is the newer version of Showcase Pro Bundle that is compatible with PHP that is higher than 8.0 is coming?

How do I change the website URL on the System Setup Page?

Hello.

My website URL is listed as http://www.kruegerphoto.com/KPMain2/ and I'd like to change it to https://kruegerphoto.com/KPMain2/. I assume this gets set up during the installation (back in 2016) and to change it, I'd have to edit some configuration file.

The problem is that the "http://www." is used on all the image URLs in the SEO section of the page code sent out to visitors (including search engine crawlers).

Can someone please help me with this?

[edit] Sorry. This problem apparently only affects the og:image code line. The image info in the SEO section is relative and doesn't include the website address. But, I'd still like to fix it because Bing Webmaster flags it as an error.

basic page error

I made one change to an existing Basic Page, saved and uploaded and now I am getting errors in any browser I view it in. Even when I go back to the previous source code that was on the page, errors still show. Unable to upload new images [SOLVED]

I am having the same problem, not being able to upload new images. I am using showkase 1.7.7 and PHP 8.2. I have downloaded the patch but can't get it to work. I am using Fasthosts and the folder that I have to upload my site to is called htdocs.
the original showcase folder is _showkase and when i try overwrite it it makes another folder called showkase without the underscore.
I have been trying with net2ftp to upload the patch now using FileZilla thinking that would make a difference but it hasn't.

Can i manually drop the contents of the folder into the existing or delete the old and rename the new showKase folder with an underscore.

Please help I have been coming back to this problem over the last few months when i have time and would like to update my website.

Uploaded images not showing in Image Library

I am uploading a new image in the upload tab, and hit start upload. The response is that the upload succeeded, but in the Libarary tab, the image is not shown. Tried different naming for the file, last one is just lowercase letters and jpg extension. But alas, no joy. What could be the problem?
Using showkase 1.7.1. Haven’t touched my site for years and finally want to refresh things.

Photographer with no particular IT knowledge: Is there any possibility for my clients to download a text document from my site (Word format)?
I guess it supposes the document to be uploaded to my site but cannot find where to upload a text file - format seems not to be supported?

Hi folks. Hope you can help.
I purchased Showkase / SiimpleViewer / Juicebox back in 2015 and made a simple portfolio website to display my artwork. The site was listed on search engines and showed up no problem. It was available online last year (and possibly this year but I can't quite recall).

However, yesterday I gave someone the web address so she could look at my artwork - something I did often - but she said she could not find it. So myself and a few friends also tried from different devices and browsers and sure enough, it has vanished! It is not even listed in search results anymore. I can understand a server 'gone down' but to be removed from search lists seems a bit odd is it not?

I also have it bookmarked on my pc. This link did take me to my site but now I get
"hmmm... can't reach this page. (website).co.uk's server IP adress could not be found.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS settings
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED"

Chances are it's probably me that has caused a problem as I'm not that tech-savvy, but I don't know.
Can someone please help me understand what has happened? I'd really, really appreciate it!

IONOS & PHP Version?

Hello,

I recently received an email from IONOS web hosting support that they have been providing Extended + Support for PHP 8.0 on my site hosted there. They say they have been providing this service to me for free since last November 2023 but now they regret they must start charging me $8.71 monthly to continue with this extended support.

Now I just checked with their customer support desk and asked what is their current free PHP version (doesn't require extra $'s) Customer support says that would be 8.1 - 8.2.

Before I go making any changes to that setting on IONOS I'd like to know will JuiceBox Pro v1.5.1 function properly at PHP versions above 8.0?

I just finished running the SKTEST and got ok results but here is the dilemma. Since I am currently paying for extended support for version 8.0 any test results would come back as ok.

I'm just being cautious before making that switch.

showkase future update?

I am a happy user of Showkase, and I am really impressed how Steven is responsive and helping on the forum. Thanks a lot Steven! You helped me a few times already!

I was wondering, as Showkase was not updated for quite some time now (the latest Version 1.7.6 is from 25 March 2021), if the software is "abandonned" by the devs or if I missed a new version or new software?
